### How to Find Your Motherboard Model Using **MSINFO32** (Windows)

If you need to identify your motherboard model on Windows, the built-in **System Information** tool (MSINFO32) makes it quick and easy—no third-party software required.

#### Step-by-Step Instructions

1. **Open the Run dialog**
   * Press **Windows Key + R** on your keyboard.
2. **Launch System Information**
   * Type `msinfo32`
   * Press **Enter**
3. **Locate System Summary**
   * When the System Information window opens, make sure **System Summary** is selected in the left panel (this is selected by default).
4. **Find the motherboard details**
   * On the right side, look for the following entries:
     * **BaseBoard Manufacturer**
     * **BaseBoard Product**
     * **BaseBoard Version**
5. **Identify your motherboard model**
   * The **BaseBoard Product** field is your motherboard model.
   * The **BaseBoard Manufacturer** tells you the brand (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock, etc.).

#### Example

* **BaseBoard Manufacturer:** ASUS
* **BaseBoard Product:** ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
* **BaseBoard Version:** Rev 1.xx

Your motherboard model in this example would be **ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING**.

#### Notes & Troubleshooting

* If any BaseBoard fields show **“To be filled by O.E.M.”**, your system may be a prebuilt PC or laptop. In that case:
  * Check the manufacturer’s support page using your system model, or
  * Use an alternative method like **Command Prompt (wmic)** or **CPU-Z**.
