Disable Windows Defender
How to completely disable Windows Defender
Windows Defender must be disabled for the loader to work correctly. Follow all steps carefully.
Disable Real-Time Protection
Open Windows Security
Press Win + I to open Settings, then go to Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.2
Open Manage Settings
Under “Virus & threat protection settings”, click on Manage settings.3
Disable Real-Time Protection
Turn off Real-time protection.4
Disable Cloud Protection
Turn off Cloud-delivered protection.5
Disable Automatic Sample Submission
Turn off Automatic sample submission.6
Disable Tamper Protection
Scroll down and turn off Tamper Protection. This prevents Windows from re-enabling Defender automatically.
Disable via Group Policy (Recommended)
For a more permanent solution, disable Windows Defender via Group Policy:1
Open Group Policy Editor
Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.2
Navigate to Windows Defender Settings
Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus.3
Disable Defender
Double-click on Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus, set it to Enabled, and click OK.4
Restart Your PC
Restart your computer to apply the changes. Group Policy Editor is only available on Windows Pro and Enterprise editions. If you’re on Windows Home, use the Windows Security method above.After disabling Defender, make sure to also add the loader folder to your antivirus exclusions if you’re using any third-party antivirus software.
